ACTS 6:1-7

Are you experiencing a problem or challenge in your life that your own humanity cannot resolve? Are you perhaps looking for encouragement and guidance from the pure leadership of the Holy Spirit? If so…read on.

As I have walked through the valley of the shadow of death lately, I have come to have a much deeper and greater sense of Jesus Christ and His position in my own life. I have also seen the realization of my own level of faith during trials and tests that I have been going through. I have looked in the mirror of my spirit and have seen my own faith strengths and weaknesses.

I wish to share a brief study with you this evening about what I’ve learned from a passage in Acts 6:1-7. I pray you find this to be both helpful and a blessing in time of searching for direction in your life.

A little church history and background…During the formative years of the early church as events unfolded after the ascension of Christ into heaven (Acts 1) there came a time of Holy Spirit filled boldness, testimony and growth, followed by persecution, arrests, torture and death. But faithful men and women along with the help of our Faithful God overcame these many adversities and obstacles.

I chose this particular section of Scripture to show how what appears to be a small problem can balloon into an out of control situation. Thank God for Jesus Christ, that in Him we have the victory and as he said in Psalm 23, He leads us in paths of righteousness.

In Acts 6:1a we find the Apostles in a time of peace and we see a great growth spurt in the church. But, as is usual, when there is Godly peace, evil finds a way in to distract us. Acts 6:1b shows that even in the church, there are times of division and disharmony that stop the flow of Grace.

Before Christ’s ascension into heaven He instructed His own to “wait” for the Power (Acts 1:8). This Power included many things but also included wisdom, increased faith and boldness (Acts 4:13).

In our own lives we are in such a hurry that by “not waiting” and taking things in our hands we may and probably will error and miss the blessings God intends for us. Acts 6 shows the mighty power of a prayerful life and staying focused on Him.

Let’s look now at the problem in Acts 6. The apostles and the disciples were going along at a rapid pace when discord falls in their lap in the form of the Greek widows being neglected for the distribution of food.

This may appear to be a tiny issue unless you are a widow.

The Lord God Almighty had expanded His church to the point that the apostles could not effectively perform all the duties required to manage the corporate body and because of this significant growth new job opportunities sprang up.

Widows and orphans are very important and special to the Lord. So much so that He commands in Exodus 22:22 “Do not take advantage of a widow or an orphan, if you do, they will cry out to me and I will surely hear them.” That is a pretty clear message from the Lord don’t you agree?

The apostles knew this and set out to resolve the problem calling on the wisdom of the Holy Spirit with prayerful hearts. Also remember that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was a widow and Christ Himself provided for her by putting her under John the apostles charge at the cross.

It is interesting to note that all of the 12 apostles are Hebrew Jews, not Greeks. Also note that the Hebrew widows were not complaining but the Greek widows were. Do you see favoritism or perhaps even some prejudice here? Or perhaps the 12 remembered what had happened near the time of the crucifixion when in John 12 Greeks came to Philip and he brought them to Andrew who brought this to Christ and He then said John 12:23 “The hour is come that the Son should be glorified.”

Perhaps after thoughts passed through their minds such as John 13, the Lord washing their feet, or Mark 10:45, Jesus came to serve, or James 2:16, what profit is there in dead works?

Whatever the case, the fact is the widow problem had to be resolved.

You will notice that once this came to their attention the apostles immediately took action. They called a meeting and then established a plan. After giving instructions the apostles would continue in the Word and the multitude of brethren would search among that very multitude for men that could be assigned to do the job of tending to the Greek widows and their needs.

The apostles gave the multitude the authority to choose seven men (Acts 6:3), men of honest report (good reputation), full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom. These instructions from the 12 did not include that these seven must be Greek and did not include that they must be full of faith.

Also note, these seven were not being selected for some glorious or glamorous role, but instead to minister to widows in a culture were men were served by women and not the other way around.

These chosen seven men were indeed men of faith and were willing to step out in faith to serve the Lord and His church in any capacity.

Tonight I will share a short teaching with you about our beautiful and love filled Savior, Jesus Christ the only Son of the Living God. Our Lord is a generous God and in His perfect giving nature, gave us His only Son. It was the Lord Himself Who told us in Acts 20:35b ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ And in His generous and giving nature let us begin…

Two thousand years ago, a strange but awesome sign appeared in the sky. It was bright and steady. It was a star (John 12:46 I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness).

When it moved, it moved slowly so as to guide those far off who were seeking its meaning and gazing in wonder. (Matthew 2:9 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was). Isn’t it interesting to observe that no one else saw the star. This event is only recorded in Matthews Gospel account. How wonderful and exciting this event would become forever.

How interesting it is to note that this heavenly phenomenon did not destroy the earth as “stars” gravity and tremendous heat would have done. But instead, this star was a guide and a marker in the sky to lead those seeking the Messiah to Him. How high in the sky was this star? How could this star be seen all the way to the land of the east? Wouldn’t the horizon and the line of sight have prevented it from being seen from so far a land away? The Shepherds didn’t see it, Herod and his people didn’t see it. This was truly a supernatural occurrence.

Let us go back in time and draw a comparison…

Approximately 1700 years before the star over Bethlehem shone in the heavens, A friend of God, Abraham, sent his children off to the land of the east (Genesis 25:6 But while he was still living, he gave gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them away from his son Isaac to the land of the east). Could it be that these Magi were likely descendants of their ancestor Abraham who was the father of many nations as is recorded in Genesis 17:4? Could it also be that since Abraham gave these ancestors giftsthe gift-giving tradition, Which they followed, that this tradition could be evidence of their lineage? Remember also that it is written in (Genesis 12:1 The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you). It appears that this same message had been given to the Magi. Remember, Abraham had made this journey almost 1700 years earlier and he had extended family there. The Lord also told Abraham that (I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you. Genesis 12:3) I would also like to mention here that Mary, in her song of praise mentioned Abraham (“to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he promised our ancestors.” Luke 1:55) interesting stuff.
When the Magi arrived on the scene they in fact did bless the Lord by giving gifts of royalty.

Note***(1-After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2- and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” Matthew 2:1-2).

What a blessing to have a people like the Magi who were so focused that they left their family and way of life to seek the one they called “King of the Jews”. How did they know He was King? Who told them? God of course, the Holy Spirit spoke to them in their dreams (And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route, Matthew 2:12).

My dear friends, how focused are we on Christ? How willing are we to “follow Him”? How willing are we to give gifts befitting a king? It is written in (John 4:10A Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink,)…My friends what a Gift we have in Christ…He came in the flesh (John 1:14), as a baby (Luke 2:7), born of the virgin (Isaiah 7:14), He left His Throne to be here with us and to do the Fathers Will.

We must be like the Magi. We must seek Him and follow Him. We must glorify Him as they did. We must be willing to sacrifice our time and our assets to Him who is Worthy and make the journey to Christ the King of kings.

Note***They brought Him 3 precious gifts; Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. The fact that there were 3 gifts could signify that there were 3 Magi accompanied by their entourage that would have been extensive.

Let’s look at the word Magi for a moment, what does it mean? It is defined as being a noun and having the meaning of “King makers”, it is also defined as an ancient priest of Media and Persia. We will look at many other specific items as well this evening such as: How long was their journey, was Jesus in a manger when they arrived, how old was Jesus at this time, what is the significance of the gifts and what is the significance of three gifts?

For more on this Christmas story write to us. Until then…May you be blessed “in” Christ Jesus, our risen Lord God.

By: Carmen Calabro

Tonight we will continue doing the work of the Lord…You may ask, what is this that you mean to say? John 6:29 states clearly that “the work of the Lord is to believe in the ONE He sent.” It’s all about Christ Jesus folks.

Tonight we will cover some key points about 1 John 4:1-7.

Some words and phrases to highlight include:
-Testing the spirits
- Acknowledgement of Christ
-The worlds view
-Love

Verse 1: 1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

In the created world, there are 2 domains:
1. Truth/Christ Jesus the Lord
2. Or Deception/the devil

Believe means to accept as true or a firm conviction as to something’s goodness or ability”

Test means a critical evaluation or to ascertain something’s worth. It can also mean “to try”, like the phrase-to test the water.

Spirit is defined as a supernatural being, an essence, bodiless and invisible.

Keeping these definitions in mind let us move forward.

The Word of God Almighty clearly says in John 1:14 14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory…

Our Lord is not “bodiless”. He came in the flesh and was seen by His apostles, disciples, the Pharisees, the high priests, the soldiers, those He healed, those He fed, those He comforted, those to whom He preached and taught, and those He raised from the dead, those that tried Him, those that crucified Him, those that buried Him, those that saw Him resurrected, those He appeared to in the upper room and on and on…

Tonight’s lesson helps to prepare us for those we will come in contact with that doubt HIS coming, those who deny HIS fleshly appearance, and from false teachings, false prophets and from lies and demonic worldly infiltration.

Again, 1 John 4:1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

John writes; “test the spirits”. Before you take a test, of course that is, if you plan to pass it…you study. None of us can afford to fail this test. This is not a test for a “grade” like an “A-B-C”…NO! This test is a pass or fail test…Pass equals eternal life with our Dear Lord Jesus Christ the only Son of the Father. Fail equals “God’s wrath forever and ever!

Remember, hell is a big place with lots of vacancy and there is a lot of room there for those who do not acknowledge our Christ. For those who do not believe in their heart that He is God and that He came in the flesh.

Further, John speaks of “Many false prophets that have gone into the world”…You can see this fact for yourself every waking moment, look around.

We not only need to test the spirits, but we need also to test ourselves…Paul the Apostle testifies to this in 2 Corinthians 13:5 “Test yourselves to see whether you are in the faith”… Dear friends we need to be accurate in our teaching and witnessing to others.

Be like a Berean: Acts 17:11 11Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

***(This is the answer) 1 John 4:2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,

Do you believe this? If so, Hallelujah to the Lamb of God! You are “from God”.
However, if you don’t, Oh oh! The flames of hell are waiting for you…

1 John 4:3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

I have read in a commentary that worldwide there are over 5,000 cults and a multitude of false teachings and teachers that teach horrible lies and deceptions to billions of people who listen to them and obey their lying tongues!

I have heard a leading evangelist say that in the U.S.A. alone, there are over 2,000 people who claim to be Jesus Christ!!!

My friends test everything you hear!

As I had taught in the past, from 1 Kings 18:19-22 19 Now summon the people from all over Israel to meet me on Mount Carmel. And bring the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal and the four hundred prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel’s table.”

There were a total of 850 false prophets and false teachings and false gods and false everything here…but out of all this falsehood, One prophet of God Almighty stood alone (or so it would seem), Elijah. Our God, through the hands of Elijah, knew how to deal with lying fanatics who slander and misrepresent our Lord Jesus Christ and lead people to damnation!

Read for yourselves how God dealt with these blaspheming demoniacs in 1Kings 18:40 40 Then Elijah commanded them, “Seize the prophets of Baal. Don’t let anyone get away!” They seized them, and Elijah had them brought down to the Kishon Valley and slaughtered there.

Don’t be fooled Saints…behind every teaching is a teacher, and behind every teacher is a spirit…Test that spirit to see if it is the Spirit of JESUS CHRIST or of the evil one.

For more on this subject write to us and mention: From testing of the spirits to love.

Be blessed in the Name above all names, Jesus Christ who came in the flesh and dwelt among us…the ONLY SON OF GOD!

It is something that is real, visible and invisible. It is able to move mountains, pull out trees, is as solid as a rock. It is as bold as light, able to calm the seas, part the rivers, has power over nature. Heals the sick, feed the hungry, gives sight to the blind, cleanses the diseased, raises the dead and gives everlasting life…Faith!!!

Faith is defined in the dictionary as: A thing, noun, a loyalty, an allegiance, a firm belief in something for which there is no proof.

However, the Lord Jesus Christ defines Faith as a “substance” and “evidence”. Turn to Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Faith is an actual thing that can be seen…Note that the Apostle Paul actually saw faith. Turn to Acts 14:8-10 and observe that in verse 9 Paul beheld faith.

Faith rests upon the Word of God, and of course the Word of God is in fact, Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of the Father…John 1:14 states that “the Word became flesh”.

Faith is an anomaly; a strange condition-we must have faith, but faith only comes from God.

Faith cannot be “mined” like coal or minerals, it cannot be purchased, it is freely given to us by our Lord God.

There are many types of faith in the Holy Scriptures; in fact the very word “faith” is used almost 250 times in the bible.

In this study we will look specifically at 10 types of faith and mention 5 others…

1.	Salvation Faith-1 John 5:4 “For what so ever is born of God overcomes the world and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith”. Also note that blessings accompany faith. Turn to Luke 7:50 “He said to the woman, thy faith has saved you-go in peace”. Note she was saved, healed and was blessed with peace as only the Lord can give. See, in Luke 5:20, He also uses the word “Friend”.

2.	Terminal Faith/Faith that is dead-James 2:17 “Even so faith without works is dead”. Also it is further written in Mark 4:40 and 41 “how is it that ye have no faith and they feared exceedingly”. The contrast between Salvation Faith and Terminal/Dead faith, you will note, is fear versus the victory, peace and friendship obtained by Salvation Faith.

3.	Step out of the boat and walk on water Faith-Matt 14:28-29 “Lord if it is You Peter replied, ***tell me to come to You on the water. Come He said. Then Peter got down out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus”. There are some remarkable things that happened here: Peter-believed, he spoke to God, he was obedient to Him, he took the necessary action and for a while he stayed focused on the Lord Jesus Christ.

4.	Shield and battle Faith-Ephesians 6:16 “Above all taking up the shield of faith where ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one”. It is a battle folks. We must be well armed and on the alert.

5.	Tried, true and tested Faith-James 1:3

6.	Soul searching Faith-2 Corinthians 13:5 “Test yourselves”.

7.	Armed Forces/Fortress and Armada Faith-Psalm 125:1-2 “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever”.

Faith is a product of God Almighty, our minds cannot produce it. It comes from the Lord God…YAH.
Look at Hebrews 12:2 “Look unto Jesus (Yahushua) the Author of our faith”.

8.	Weighed and measured Faith-Romans 12:3 “For I say, though the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith”.

9.	Can you see it, Faith-Luke 5:20 “When Jesus saw their faith He said your sins are forgiven” and if you look at verse 24b, you will note that a blessing accompanied their faith…”Rise, take up your mat and go home”. Praise God Almighty.

There are other types of faith as well:

A.	Life giving Faith-James 2:14
B.	Abundant/fruitful Faith-James 2-14
C.	Prayer Faith-James 5:14 and John 14:14
D.	Hearing Faith-Romans 10:17
E.	Roller Coaster Faith-Luke 8:13

10.	Mustard seed Faith-Matt 17:20 (Mountain) and Luke 17:6 (Tree)…The word seed is used almost 300 times in the Holy Scriptures and, many different types of seed are mentioned. There are: Grape seeds, Olive, Coriander, Anise, Cumin, Hyssop, Wheat, etc. ***It is interesting to note that of all the seeds mentioned, Christ uses the Mustard seed to edify His example.

For more on this subject write to us and mention: Faith and types of faith.

Be blessed in the Name above all names, Jesus Christ the only Son of God…

Doctor Harrison Mensah Sunday Sermon

Matt 6:27 who by worry can add to his life…

Matt 6:24 you cannot serve 2 masters…

Verse 25-Take no thought for your life-what you will eat and drink, do not worry about it
The Lord will make provision for us…

God gives us Grace to overcome…God will move supernaturally for us

Again…”take no thought for your life” concentrate on Jesus Christ.

God is a jealous God. Worship Him, focus on Him.

John 3:16 for God so loved the world that He gave His only Son…

vs. 26 the fowls of the air do not sow or reap or gather into barns…are you not worth more than they?

When we worry, we are opening the door to be opened against us by demons…but we overcome by our hope of glory, Jesus Christ…

God wants us to be worry free…

A famous physician once described and categorized the way we worry:
1.	General worry 40%
2.	Past event worry 30% (things we cannot change)
3.	Health related worry 12%
4.	Misc. worry 18%

The real worry is 8% genuine worry…waiting on answered prayer to be manifested…

Worry is not in Gods nature…

Worry is an enemy within… remember, worry is an enemy…we have to take authority over
worry.

The enemy “engineers” worry.

Worry is hopeless and we do not have to yield to it…

A Pennsylvania university defined worry as a chain of negativity and uncontrollable thoughts and images

Matt 4: the words of Satan…bow down and worship me…cast yourself off this peak and his angels will catch you…

Example…husband and wife, when they are separated out of town on business they start to worry what the spouse is up to

The enemy can play with our minds…

We must resist the devil and he will flee James 4:7

Demons do not have bodies but they search for bodies that they can inhabit

Demons have personalities

We must have the mind of Christ…Philippians 2:5

Worry is a waste of energy; God wants us to reserve this energy for other things…

Concern is not worry…they are two separate things…”Concern is care”

We must be alert and on guard

God must change our worry to confidence…God will fulfill His promises made to us…

God wants us to approach Him; He will take care of our needs…

Be anxious for nothing…

God will do what He says…Philippians 4:6

God is able…

Our prayer to God “we come to You according to Your promises. Tell Him we are expecting Him to do it

HEALING…do not worry about it…You are the God that Heals me…I believe You by faith.

Ask for all things in the name of Christ Jesus…do it now…We do not have to fear demons we have the victory in Christ…This releases the healing power of God Almighty…tormenting spirits are stubborn…
You must rebuke them “I rebuke the enemy that has caused this sickness-suffering etc. in the Name of Christ Jesus…

Command them to leave…Ask God to command the life of healing to enter into you and seal it by the Blood of Christ the Lord…the Only Begotten Son of God…

There is a demon behind all illness.

God is not the cause of sickness and disease. God does not want us to suffer…

The devil and his minions counter act medical science…

Mark 16:18 we need NOT worry or be in fear, this verse tells of the power of God Almighty to His Saints…

God wants us to live the better living…

James 1: 5 Wisdom

Be worry free…He took all our worry and pain Isaiah 53:4

Amen.

Pastor Harrison Mensah

We need to be strong in faith
Look to the promises of God Almighty

When God says something, He will do what He says…
When we pray, at times, we can get frustrated with not getting an
Answer to those prayers…

God will show up and surprise us…

When we pray, we must cast all our needs on Him not some but all.

The people of God do not know the difference between worry and concern…
Worry is sin. Concern is trying to connect with God. Jeremiah 33:3 call and I will answer…God is mighty and can do all things…He will show us greater things…

We cannot ignore the Cross and the Death of Christ because answered prayer is because of Jesus Christ and based on Him…”It is finished” John 19:29-30.
When we pass our prayer through the Blood of Christ, this blocks the enemy from affecting our prayer.
Satan fears the Blood of the Lord; We overcome the enemy by the Blood of the Lamb…When Jesus went to heaven after His bodily death, He went to the Father,
God Almighty. We must lift our prayers up through the Blood of Jesus Christ…

Revelation 12:7, War in heaven

The Blood of Christ has purchased us…

When the battle becomes tough we need to keep on praying…
God will send His ministering angels to loose the chains…

A gift is not a wish…Example: I wish you well…but a gift is a promise from Christ, a guarantee not a wish. He promised it so it will be…

The only thing the enemy fears is the Blood of Jesus Christ…you can not
Cross the “Blood Line”.

When we plead/cover the Blood over ourselves, we overcome…

We must know how to use His Precious Blood, the Blood gives us the victory and unlocks the promises of the Almighty…Plead the Blood over every aspect of your life. Seal the answer to your prayer with the Blood of Christ…The Blood is our “Victory”.

We overcome the world by the Blood of the Lamb,(Rev 12:11). The Blood that was shed at Calvary.

Walk in it and know who we are in Him…

We submit ourselves to the Lordship of Christ, when we plead and confess the Blood of Christ.

When we are judged, miserable, frustrated, sad, etc., cover up with the Blood…When the Devil and his followers come after you, cover yourself with the Blood of Jesus Christ…because “the devil is not covered with the Blood”…

We must learn to do what Abraham did…Faith…faith…Genesis 22, the facts of the sacrifice of Isaac…Genesis 12, the facts of “leave this place and go to another country”…Faith…

The Blood of Christ is a blessing upon a blessing…

We must always present our prayers through the Blood…

Animal sacrifices were only an example of the BLOOD OF CHRIST.

Phil 2; He humbled himself to death on the cross…verse 8-9…

When you tithe, tithe through the Blood.

Malachi 3:10-12 “I will rebuke the devil

Act 2:34-35 sit at My Right Hand till I make Your enemies Your footstool.

The Blood of Jesus Christ is for us not for rebuking…We must not cast our pearls before swine…

Apply the Blood over your requests, your needs, your life, your very being…
The Blood is the means of openness for our blessings and answers…

Remember, “Preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing”
(1 Corinth 1:18)…

Let’s do as Abraham did.

It was the Blood of Christ that joined us to eternal life,
Jeremiah 33: 8 I will cleanse them from all their inequities
Jeremiah 33: 9 a name of Joy…prosperity…
Jeremiah 33:10 (Witness on the streets about the Lord Jesus Christ)

Matt 7:7 Ask (promise), Seek (promise), Knock (promise)…Through the Blood…

Everything connected to the Blood is Victory…

Claim the Blood of Jesus Christ, claim the promises of Abraham…Through the Blood of Christ we are connected to God Almighty…Maker of heaven and earth and all that is in it.

If you are praying and not getting an answer, keep on praying, if still no answer, fast and pray…

Call out to Him…Do as Abraham did…

Act 10:8,38 Psalm 103:3 Deut 28:15-19

Doctor Harrison Mensah
Sermon Notes…”Live a better living”, Continued…

Confusion, fear and negativity are running rampant on the earth today. The enemy is making us march
backwards instead of forward. “Jesus goes forward” and up.

God’s Word should be familiar to us, His Word is alive, “His Word shall not change” “Matt 24:35”.

“I have esteemed you from the time I created You” “Isa 43:1”.

Adam and Eve missed the mark, the Kingdom that was given to them was lost in the garden. They sold out for an apple and a lie, “Gen 3:2”.

Esau sold out for a bowl of stew, “Gen 25:29”. Judas sold out for 30 pieces of silver, “Matt 27”.

“Matt & Luke chapter 4”, the “40 days story” when the devil tempted Adam & Eve it was over food, the same for Esau, the same attempt was made when the Lord was hungry…”it is written, turn these stones into bread” The Lord did not sell His birth-right.

Man was created to rule over everything…but the devil lured mankind in and seduced us.

God creates beauty, “in the image of God”. God created us to be productive…”Gen 2”.

Speak goodness, holiness and blessings all the time. Do not allow confusion, depression etc. to burden us
“Luke 12:3”

We are created in His Image.

We are saved, not defeated.

Other things in the world have taken the place of the Lord and His Word, i.e. technology, TV, science, things…and His Word and Glory are being swept out of the way. These are spiritual diseases. Medical science can’t solve these problems…the cure Is in the WORD OF GOD. Pray the Word of GOD into Your life and upon your body.

God will even let our enemies be at peace with us…“Proverbs 16:7”’

We are so important to God that He allowed His Only Son To die for us….

We are VIPs in the name of the Lord…Mighty things are going to happen.

Beauty is the nature of God Almighty. An example, Halloween; ugly monsters, skeletons, dead things, failure (things are not going well)…No God has given us dominion over these negative things. We have the victory because of Jesus Christ.

Love God with all your might…Speak blessings, pray them…”As man thinketh so is he”…What do you think ? “Proverbs 23”.

“Come unto me all you who are burdened and I will give you rest” “Matt 11:28”.

God wants us cured and healed…”BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED…also, THE TREE IS KNOWN BY ITS FRUIT…

Our Lord has the upper hand…

Do not allow yourself to be robbed.

Think high, not low…Jesus is HIGH, the HIGHEST…

Every good gift comes from above….

God, Father-Son and Holy Spirit are with us and reside in us…Greater is He that is in us than he who is in the world…

3 John 4:4 Ye are of God little children…“Greater”…”is He that is in you than he who is in the world”…

My treasure is in Heaven…Where thieves can not rob…

Joshua 1:3…Every place where the sole of your feet have been…I will give to you…Everything is ours because of our faith in Jesus Christ…claim them, they are ours because of Jesus Christ…

We are winners, not losers….

By Grace we are free…We have been raised with Him…

Don’t think like the world, think like Jesus…Greater is HE…

“Do not let your heart be troubled” John 14…Words have power to bless or to curse…

We must be very careful what we say.

We must encourage one another…

Christ came to save the sinners, raise the dead and build up…not to tear down.

Christ came to redeem sinners, the wretched refuse…For these I came, “the sick need a physician”

For hope to take root you must have faith….

Anything that does not line up with the word Of God is a lie and is from the wicked one.

Claim your healing. All things are given to us from above.

Sicknesses and diseases are demonic…USE THE WORD OF GOD AND BELIEVE IT…

Pastor Tom Bellhy
Ephesians 5:1-10

The Lord wants you to walk with Him; go where He goes, take in His Word … to have a relationship with Him.

Introduction
According to a calculation done by Arthur Blessitt, a conservative estimate of how far Jesus walked during His three and a half year ministry is about 3,200 miles. Considering John 21:25, Jesus most likely walked much more. If two miles in one hour is a comfortable walking pace and Jesus walked about 2.6 miles per day then he spent about one to two hours per day walking. His disciples spent one to two hours per day walking with God!

So what?
1. Walking is used in Scripture in both literal and figurative language. It is both action and a way of life.
2. Walking is something the American or Western Culture Christianity finds somewhat foreign.
a. We live in a fast paced, mechanical, industrialized world of cars, planes, to-do lists, email, text messaging, facebook…
b. Communication with God and with one another is suppressed into small time capsules that conveniently fit into our priority list.

The point!
Truly walking with someone means:
• there is a desire for the other person to want you to be with them,
• there is a desire for you to want to walk with them,
• you take the time to listen to them,
• you talk with them in meaningful dialogue,
• demonstrating actively moving in the same direction,
• relationships!

1. Christ longs for you to walk with Him…

Ephesians 5:1-2
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; 2 and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

• You are to walk the path with Christ, walk in the love of Christ.
• Be imitators of God…Christ loved (loves), served (serves), sacrificed (sacrifices)…
• You are called to follow Christ…

He calls you…
• John 1:43 The next day He purposed to go into Galilee, and He found Philip. And Jesus said to him, “Follow Me.”
• Matthew 9:9 As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man called Matthew, sitting in the tax collector’s booth; and He said to him, “Follow Me!” And he got up and followed Him.

Do you listen to His voice?
• John 10:27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;

2. When you walk with Christ, you listen to Him. Walking with God means following His Word…

Ephesians 5:3-6
3 But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; 4 and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
• There is a moral code or conduct when you walk with God. How do you know what it is?
• Immorality, impurity, greed, covetousness, idolatry has different meanings in different cultures.
• Your only guide to “faith and practice” is Scripture
• Joshua 22:5 love the LORD your God and walk in all His ways and keep His commandments
• Psalm 1:1-2 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
• Psalm 119:105 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
• Your intake of Scripture enhances the quality of your walk with God.
• In His Word the details of your walk are clarified and come alive.
• Like understanding the Declaration of Independence” then walking by the Liberty Bell.

3. When you hear Christ calling, follow Him, walk in His Word…He wants you to go where He goes…

Ephesians 5:7-8
7 Therefore do not be partakers with them; 8 for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light

• You are no longer in darkness when you walk with Christ
• You are children of the light, of Christ, walking in the light of Christ

Doctor Harrison Mensah Sermon Notes…

Living a better living…The Word of God has to be our number one priority.

Ezekiel 12:25-28 “For I am the Lord, the Words that I shall speak will come to pass.

Doctor Mensah says that we can and should claim, repeat and use the Word of God daily in our lives for joy, success, overcoming, victory and healing.

He further says that when we speak the Word Of God and confess it and believe it, and repeat it…the Word comes closer to us and begins to do its work in us.

To know God is to know His Word.

Pastor Mensah states the following:
-Our words must be like His Words
-Our words must edify and uplift
-We must agree with the Lords Words
-God wants us to glorify Him constantly
-Do not allow negativity to influence your life
-God is positive not negative
-Remember that we will give an account for words we speak…

For more on Doctor Mensah’s sermons, Please contact us by “Leaving a comment” below.
